Until further notice we are no longer shipping to the US

Dear USA Customers,

We love you dearly and are very grateful for your business since we opened for business way back in 2007, but with the newly imposed import tariffs we find it almost impossible to continue shipping to the USA.

The biggest issue is that our goods are sourced from around the world and the new import tariffs stipulate that we list every item and its country of origin so US Customs can charge you, the customer, the appropriate tariff.  

Some of our valued US customers order multiple items that can attract different duties that can vary from 10% to 50% or...if the rules keep changing like the wind, even more. As per the clause in every one of our listings regarding customs duty and other fees and charges being the responsibility of the customer, often the customer doesn't read this.

From past experience we have learned that some customers are so shocked when they find they have to pay Customs Duty before their order will be released to them, that they refuse to accept their parcel.  When this has happened in the past the order has been returned to us by the slowest means possible including by ocean container, and the customer has lodged a complaint about their order that has resulted in us receiving a chargeback. 

We are a very small business and go out of our way to provide excellent customer service and goods for reasonable prices.  But until things get sorted out in a sensible and consistent way that everyone...the people of the USA and us...we feel unable to provide our customers with the excellent service that they deserve.
